HOW WE WORK

FLEXIBLE, PERSON-CENTRED SUPPORT

There is no one-size-fits-all approach. Support is tailored to the person, family, team, organisation or community and what matters to them.

  • Build on strengths and capabilities

  • Listen and seek to understand

  • Respect voice, choice, identity and culture

  • Value relationships, connection and community

  • Support reflection, learning and informed choice

  • Work collaboratively towards meaningful outcomes

FOUNDATIONS OF OUR PRACTICE

Our work is grounded in human rights, children’s rights and safety, inclusion, cultural responsiveness, trauma-aware and healing-informed practice, participation, choice and self-determination.

We respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives, cultural strengths, local knowledge and protocols, recognising the importance of Country, family, kinship, community, identity and collective wellbeing.
